Q. How do I define multiple rates?
A. Duplicate the entry for each weight.
If you want to support different rates to the same destination then you create duplicate entries for the weight. Use the Method Title to let the customer decide which rate to use.
30 | 120.00 | Lower rate 30 | 210.00 | Higher rate 30 | 1000.00 | Extortionate rate
Some people may find this easier than adding multiple shipping methods per shipping zone.
Note: This logic is only available for the Multi rate weight zone shipping plugin.
Since v0.2.0, the weight ranges and sequence in which the rates are displayed in the shipping calculator depend on the order in which you define them in the rate table. You can either group items with the same maximum weight, or you can group them by shipping method.
For each group ensure that the rates are defined in increasing weight order.
e.g. for a cart weight of 2.5 kg, UK prices, and the following rate table
1 | 3.29 | myHermes Courier Collection 2 | 4.49 | myHermes Courier Collection 5 | 6.49 | myHermes Courier Collection 10 | 8.49 | myHermes Courier Collection 15 | 10.49 | myHermes Courier Collection 1 | 2.79 | myHermes ParcelShop - up to 1 kilo 2 | 3.99 | myHermes ParcelShop - 1 to 2 kilos 5 | 5.99 | myHermes ParcelShop - 2 to 5 kilos 10 | 7.99 | myHermes ParcelShop - 5 to 10 kilos 15 | 9.99 | myHermes Parcelshop - up to 15 kilos
the rates offered should include
myHermes Courier Collection: £6.49 myHermes ParcelShop 2 - 5 kilos: £5.99
Note: When determining which rates to offer, the Method title override is not used.
